A Shocking Start to the Week in Year 3!

Year 3 had quite an unexpected start to the week! Everything began as normal—we completed our morning tasks and headed to assembly. But upon returning, we were in for a surprise: our classroom was sealed with caution tape! No one could enter because there had been an incident…

We relocated to the computer suite, where we discussed what might have happened and why. Theories flew around the room as everyone tried to piece together the mystery. Then, Mr. Brooks came by to inform us that it was safe to return.

When we finally stepped back into our classroom, we were shocked to see what had occurred. Tables and chairs had been flipped over, books and equipment were scattered everywhere, and even our working walls had been destroyed! But that wasn’t all—we found a trail of evidence left behind! Mighty footprints hinted at the identity of the intruder. It could only be one creature—the enormous crocodile!

After restoring our classroom to order, we gathered to share the clues we had discovered and our thoughts on why this had happened. Many children believed the crocodile was upset about the unkind adjectives we used to describe him last week. Others thought he might have been seeking revenge! While we didn’t manage to catch the culprit, Mr. Brooks later found CCTV footage of the enormous crocodile roaming around in our classroom.

What a memorable way to start the week! We’re looking forward to continuing our learning (hopefully with no more crocodile surprises!).
