We are inspected regularly by Ofsted to ensure we are doing the best for our children.
We are absolutely delighted with the outcome of our Ofsted Inspection in May, 2024.
Westwood Academy was judged outstanding during a graded inspection (Section 8).
The report states that Westwood Academy pupils "relish a plethora of opportunities" that help them to learn and shine at Westwood. Pupils embody their school motto to ‘believe, achieve and succeed’.
Westwood Academy has "exceptionally high expectations" of what pupils can and should achieve. Pupils take pride in their learning. This is reflected in the exceptional quality of work that they produce. The report prasied the school on providing "staff with a wealth of high-quality professional development opportunities so that the curriculum is delivered expertly".
The report highlights many of the things we’re very proud of here at Westwood Academy such as the children’s "love of reading" and the "way that the school develops pupils’ character is strong".

The government will not publish KS2 school level data for the 2021 to 2022 academic year. They have archived data from 2018 to 2019 academic year because they recognise that the data from that year may no longer reflect current performance.
