A Sweet Start to the Half Term! 🍫🌺

We hope everyone had a restful break and is feeling refreshed for the new half term!

This week, we jumped straight into our exciting new topics with lots of enthusiasm. In history, we began learning about the Mayan civilisation, discovering where and how it all started in Mesoamerica. One of the most fascinating things we explored was how the Mayans were the first to create chocolate! We loved finding out how chocolate has changed over time and how it all began with the Mayans.

In maths, we have made a fantastic start to our new unit on fractions. We have been learning all about unit fractions, numerators, and denominators, and we are already showing a great understanding!

In science, we have started our new topic on plants. We explored the different parts of a plant and their functions, understanding how each part plays an important role in helping plants grow and survive.

It’s been a great first week back, and we can’t wait to continue our learning next week!
