A Wonderful Week in Year 3!🙋♂️👩🏫

We have been very busy in Year 3 this week and have been working extremely hard.
We started the week with our second swimming lesson and are proud to say we are making great progress! 🏊♀️
In maths, we’ve been working on place value, and we now feel really confident with partitioning numbers up to 1000!
In English, our focus text has been The Twits. We explored the character of Mr. Twit and wrote amazing character descriptions and our own alternative retell of the “wormy spaghetti” scene, which we’ve renamed “The Sectacular Spider Sandwich”! 🕷️ We started by creating freeze frames of the scene, paying close attention to our facial expressions and body language.
In RE, we have been learning about Jewish culture, focusing on how Shabbat is celebrated. We even had the chance to recreate our own Shabbat meal, which was a great experience!
We kicked off our science learning with an experiment, investigating how different surfaces affect the amount of force needed to move a toy car. We were excited to see if our preditions were correct.
It's been a fun and productive week filled with creativity and learning. We can't wait to dive deeper into our topics next week and continue exploring new ideas.🔎
