Beauty and the Beast ?

On Monday, Year 4 were introduced to their new story 'Beauty and the Beast'.

We read the story and discussed the characters; Beast and Beauty. We put the Beast in our hot seat and generated questions to ask him. 

'Why do you look like a beast?'

'Why is it important for you to have Beauty in the Castle?'

'Why were you cursed?'

At the end of the lesson, we discussed how the Beast isn't how he seems. Kayden told the class "Don't judge a book by its cover", which was very fitting for our Drama lesson this week! ? 

Sophia played a fantastic Beast and got into character by experimenting with the pitch and tone of her voice along with her body actions! Super performing Sophia ?
