Bridging Brilliance! 🌉🏗️
Date: 17th Oct 2024 @ 9:28pm
This week, Year 3 have been working very on their bridge building project! The children started by designing their own bridges, thinking about how they could make them strong and stable. They used materials like cardboard, straws, and tape to build their designs. Once the bridges were built, the children tested their bridges to see how strong they were and discussed what worked well and what they might improve.
This week in English, we had a blast writing our own newspaper reports about the mischievous crocodile breaking into our classroom! The children enjoyed getting creative with their headlines and descriptions.
In Maths, we've been working hard on column addition and subtraction. The children have been doing a fantastic job mastering these skills and really enjoying the challenge!
Finally, in PSHE, we explored the importance of respecting other people's opinions, even when we may not agree. The children engaged in a thoughtful debate, practicing how to listen and respond respectfully.
We are incredibly proud of how hard the children have worked across all subjects this week. Their enthusiasm, creativity and willingness to learn have truly shone through. We look forward to seeing what the next week brings as we continue our exciting learning journey!
