Carnival of the Animals #beaperformer

We are so proud of the children's cross-curricular learning in Music this week!

With the help of Mrs Brocklehurst from Oldham Council Music Service, Year 2 listened to some of the movements in Saint-Saëns' Carnival of the Animals (Wild Asses/The Elephant/Hens and Cockerels/The Aviary) and then made their own music for some farm animals.

Our Topic this half term has been all about farming and the countryside and - this week - the children thought about how different farm animals might move; impressing us with the words 'Allegro' (fast) and 'Lento' (slow) that they added to their music vocabulary.
