Exploring the Kalahari Desert!

This week, we have been using our imagination to embark on a journey to the magnificent Kalahari Desert in Africa, home to some of the world’s most fascinating creatures and breathtaking landscapes.  

We have been inspired by the character “Sunny” from the story “Meerkat Mail” who introduced us to his life and home in the Kalahari Desert. First, we created a story whoosh following the scenes from the story. 

Next, we came up with adjectives to help us describe what we can see, hear, smell and feel in the desert. 

We then generated ideas to write a postcard to our friends and family from the Kalahari Desert, telling them all the wonderful things we did whilst we were there. 

We also found out many interesting facts about the desert including the animals that live there! 

We enjoyed exploring and learning all about the Kalahari Desert and we can't wait to see where our next adventure takes us!
