Florence Nightingale 🏥

This half term we are learning all about people who inspire us. We have started our topic by learning all about Florence Nightingale and how she helped the injured soldiers. In English this week we focused on the little people big dreams book all about her life. As the book included lots of new tricky vocabulary, we had an exciting lesson where we worked in pairs to make our own mini dictionary. We had to match the word, to the image and then the definition. 

Then in our History lesson, we thought about hospitals have changed over time. We thought about what the hospitals looked like a long time ago when Florence Nightingale was a nurse and compared it to what a hospital would look like now!
