Great Britain 🇬🇧

A great first week back in Year 1!

This week, we started our learning on a number of new topics! In Maths, we have been learning about numbers to 20 and had a go at partitioning numbers into ones and tens. We did so well!

In English, we looked at 'Pussycat, Pussycat, where have you been?' We looked at rhyming words and wrote our own rhyming poem inspired by the book. 

In science, we have started looking at plants and went on a hunt around the school grounds for plants and seeds. 

Our highlight this week was our wonderful Great British tea party! We thought about what we know about Great Britain already and enjoyed scones with jam and cream along with some super party dancing!
