Half Term Highlights! 🎥 🍫

What a busy and exciting half term it has been in Year 3!

We’ve truly become experts in our topic on The Mayans! The children have loved learning all about this fascinating ancient civilisation, especially discovering that the Mayans were the first to introduce chocolate to the world—something we were all very excited about!

To bring our learning to life, we designed and made our own chocolate bars, carefully choosing our flavours—white chocolate, biscoff, caramel, cookies and cream, and even popping candy! The creativity didn’t stop there; we then wrote fantastic persuasive adverts to convince others to buy our chocolate. Watch out, Cadbury’s!

In Science, we explored the topic of plants. The children carried out experiments to investigate what plants need to grow and how water travels through them. It’s been a brilliant way to link practical learning with scientific enquiry, and the class really enjoyed being hands-on scientists!

We’ve had a half term full of fun, learning, and creativity, rounded off with a fantastic Easter egg hunt to celebrate all our hard work.
