This term, year 6 have been learning about World War Two, and using the topic to inspire some fantastic pieces of writing. Our final piece of writing was a persuasive leaflet. Children had to imagine they had invented the Anderson shelter, and discuss its suitability in protecting people during the Blitz.
The children created some fantastic writing, drawing on their knowledge of World War Two as well as using lots of fantastic grammatical techniques, such as: rhetorical questions, figurative language and advanced punctuation.
