We used pepper and soap to immitate what happens when we wash our hands. First we put pepper on the water and dipped out fingers in. The pepper stuck to our fingers just like germs do. Next we put soap on our fingers and dipped them in the peppery water and watched what happened. The soap made the pepper disperse and the pretend germs didn't stick to our fingers. Next we used milk and food colouring and explored what happens when we put a drop of soap in it. The soap made the colours disperse and made beautiful patterns.
