Six sorry wives 🥀

This week in English, Y5 were amazing in unpacking the characters in our class novel, Romeo and Juliet. We used the conscious alley to imagine how Juliet felt when deciding to marry Romeo. We interviewed Friar Lawrence, Juliet's nurse and Benvolio to understand how they felt on hearing the tragic deaths of the two star crossed lovers. 

In maths, Y5 have begun to recap addition and subtraction using the column method for numbers with more than 4 digits. 

In science this week, Y5 investigated the force, air resistance using air spinners. In History, we learned more about the six wives of Henry VIII and created fact files based on them.
