Viva Espania 💃🇪🇸

This week Y5 have started their new topic of Viva Espania! To link our topic, we have started reading the book Toro Toro! By Michael Morpugo. We have discussed our views on bullfighting and our opinions on cultural sports vs animal rights. We created scenes from the corrida, using drama techniques and musical instruments to bring the scene to life. 

In Science, we looked at which materials dissolve in cold water and what changes happen to the water. We tested this on sugar, salt, flour, coffee and sand. 

This week we have also started learning about our play King Lear and created freeze frames about the history of Albion. We will continue practising for the Shakespeare festival every Monday! 🎭
