As part of world book day, Westwood Academy celebrated inspirational people and women who have changed the world. Year 2 learnt about Mary Seacole and compared her with Florence Nightingale. They learnt about how she changed hospitals and helped people get better with different kinds of medicine. We made vegetable soup just like Mary did for poorly people. We are so proud of our Mary Seacole portraits!
