Year 3 Castleshaw trip
Date: 8th Nov 2022 @ 3:48pm
What an amazing start to the week Year 3 have had!
On Tuesday, we visited the Castleshaw centre and took part in some fantastic Stone Age workshops with our guide, Matt.
We learned all bout stone age tools and had first hand experience of what the animal skin felt like.
We also learnt about Stone Age diets and hunting techniques.
Our favourite part was looking at how Stone Age people lived. We looked inside a cool, damp cave and experience total darkness to learn about what it would have been like to live inside a cave.
We build amazing shelters outside to experience what it was like to create a home outside and move it around just like the normadic people had to do.
We finished the day by learning how to read maps and took part in the orienteering challenge, reading our maps and finding key symbols to mark onto our map sheets.
We had a lot of fun, and I'm sure the children will sleep well tonight!
Well done Year 3!
