Year 3 Stone Age Kenning Poetry? #beaperformer
Date: 16th Feb 2022 @ 8:39pm
Year 3 have had a fantastic week being poetry writers and performers. We used our stone age topic as inspiration and used the format of traditional Nordic Kenning poetry to write about people, animals and objects from The Stoneage.
The children used noun cards and matched them to verbs to make noun-verb pairs on Tuesday, then chose lines to add into their poems before writing their own poems on Wednesday.
The children then performed their poems to the rest of the class on Thursday, adding in actions to #beaperformer.
Keep a look out to see if you can spot your budding performer below.
In maths we have been busy recapping key skills from our modules, Multiplication and Division and Money. #beanexpertlearner
In Computing, we have been creating our own story using Scratch Junior #becreative
Congratulations to our stars of the half term!
We will be closed from Friday 18th and will return on Monday 28th February 2022. In the meantime, children will have books to read on MyON, Comprehension set on Purple Mash, Spellings and TT rockstars to practice over the holidays.
Most importantly rest, play and stay safe!
Mr Barlow and Mrs Begum.
